Kent - Owner

 

Kent founded the backpackers in 2002. He’s the one that keeps our Queenstown hostel going. He’s often around, so if you see him, say hi!

 

JoshuA - General Manager

 

You’ll find Josh greeting guests and maintaining the homely atmosphere of our backpackers lodge. He keeps the place tidy and up to our high standards, and ensures everyone is having a good time, whether they’re in Queenstown for 36 hours or looking to stay long-term.

 

Travelling the world and exploring different cultures has been Josh's passion for many years. But finally has made a life for himself here in New Zealand, away from his home country of England. Weather permitting you will find him trying new hikes, snowboarding, enjoying pub quiz's in town, or road tripping around the south island.

JOSE - Assistant Manager

 

Jose is our Brazilian superstar - if you don't find him in reception you will find him around the hostel making the place look tidy and clean. He has a heart of gold, will welcome you with a smile and he is always ready to help. He has been in Queenstown for over two years and he can give you all the information about what to do around Queenstown. 

Jose is an amazing architect, hoping to build his own home in the future back in Brazil. Any questions about architecture he's your man! Definitely too smart for us! Outside of the hostel you can find Jose going to some of his favourite cafe's around town, checking any museum he can possibly find, drinking any black beer he can find at some of Queenstown's amazing brewery's, sheltering from any cold weather whatsoever and going to see Lady Gaga!
